…Not all power is in the hands of government
…All power belong to God – Adeniran
The District Superintendent of Apostolic Faith Church, West and Central Africa, Rev. Adebayo Adeniran has proclaimed that if Nigerians will turn God, and live in righteousness that Nigeria will experience a favourable turn around, as God will restore things therein, and the country will once again experience a glorious economy.
Adeniran who made this proclamation at the 2018 Camp meeting concert of the church held at Faith City, Igbesa, Ogun State also admonished Nigerians not to depend on government, but look up to God for solutions to the various problems facing the country.
Speaking on the significance of the concert and its theme, the DS noted that Man’s life has remained complicated ever since the fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.
“Man fell from glory and even grace to a corrupt level when he (Man) committed sin in the Garden of Eden.
“Since that time, Man’s life has been a tale of complexities, but God sent his son, Jesus Christ to lift us from the fall of sin by grace, and take us to glory”, he said.
He explained that it is not just when one goes to heaven that they get to glory, but people can begin to experience glory on earth here as God works upon their life. “When you come to him in repentance, he saves your soul, you have joy in your heart; you know that something happened that is different. You become another human being entirely.
“You have heard the Professor’s testimony; I shared my testimony, many people including the choristers; each one has personal testimonies of God delivering them from a life of sin. And this is what we offer to Nigerians”, he said.
He noted that though Nigeria is grappling with corruption in every place, God has solution to all that is happening in the country.
“We are grappling with corruption in high places and low places. Even government confess corruption. God has solution to corruption; deliverance from sin, through his son, Jesus Christ and when you experience the salvation of Jesus Christ, you will be free indeed.
“That is why we have gathered in this camp meeting, teaching, counselling people, encouraging them to embrace a life without blemish that only Jesus can give. It is not something you can give to your child; It is something that God himself, your creator will recreate you spiritually and you begin to live a life without blemish.
“Many people have been getting that in this camp meeting, but beyond that, they have been getting healed. You need to come on a regular day of camp meeting; lines of people waiting for prayers, healed by God, free of charge; just for people praying on them”, he said.
While explaining that the church does not focus too much on the numerous miracle witnessed there, Adeniran said it rather celebrates life without blemish because that is what makes one to retain the blessing of God in their life.
“By the grace of God, we celebrate much more a life without blemish. That is what we are here for; from grace to glory. First on earth here, God will move you also from the grace you have experienced on earth here, to glory in heaven; and that will be very soon”, he said.
While praying that Nigerians will open their hearts to the message of the gospel and God’s help, the DS said that the age nda of God for this world is coming to an end because Jesus is coming the second time and all should be ready to receive him now.
On the socioeconomic problem in the country as it affects the moral concept of individuals, Adeniran said: “It is possible to make a success of your life with the help of God. God said ‘without me, you can do nothing.’ It’s not that you can’t do things, but you will not do it successfully. With God in your life, with Christ in your life, you have the hope of glory; that there will be help rendered unto you. God is helping us.
“Many people here in our church are not cutting corners; we teach them not to cut corners. We teach them not to take bribe and not to give bribe. In our schools, we teach our students not to cheat, and they pass and are sure that God has helped them and blessed their efforts in their studies. If children can imbibe that, any body, even an adult can imbibe it” , he said.
He noted that if one cannot practice something when they are little, they cannot practice it when you are old except God gives them the power.
“It is not possible for you to practice what you did not learn as a child, except by the grace of God. That is why we are not pointing to ourselves in this issues, we are pointing to God who gives the power. God can do it.
“There is nothing too hard for the God that created the heaven and earth to do. So, even in economic terms, there is nothing too hard for God.
“Nigerians should not to look to government now, but look unto God. God does not fail, but government can fail because not all power is in the hands of government; all power belong to God, and he has promised to use it for our country”, he said.
