Justice Jude Onwugbuzie made the order while delivering judgment on an application filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission seeking the final forfeiture of the assets.

According to the court, the forfeited assets comprise jewellery valued at N4,645,170,294.09, 11 exotic vehicles worth N4,293,000,000, $50,000 in cash, and an additional N30m.

The judge held that the assets should be permanently forfeited to the Federal Government, granting the reliefs sought by the anti-graft agency.

The EFCC had approached the court for a final forfeiture order after securing an interim forfeiture and completing the required legal procedures.

Details of the grounds for the forfeiture were not immediately available as of the time of filing this report.

The ruling marks the latest development in the anti-graft agency’s legal actions involving assets allegedly linked to Achimugu.

Details later.
