The Police on Friday arraigned two traders, Abdullahi Bala, 17, and Fahad Ibrahim, 20, before a Daura Upper Sharia Court, Kaduna, for alleged theft of some wrappers valued at N270,000.
The defendants, who both reside at Liberia Road, Malali, Kaduna, are facing three-count charge of conspiracy, break-in and stealing.
The prosecutor, Insp. Shehu Abdullahi, told the court that the defendants committed the offences on Jan 19. at Ungwan Rimi Road, Kaduna.

Abdullahi said the defendants broke into a shop belonging to Abdulmalik Rabiu and stole the wrappers.
He said the defendants also stole the complainant’s radio valued at N7,000.
“They ran to an unknown destination until they were seen and arrested on Jan. 28,” he said.
The prosecutor said the offences contravened Sections 117, 174 and 347 of the Criminal Law of Kaduna, 2017.
The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The judge, Alhaji Aminu Jumare, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N5,000 each, with one surety each in like sum.
He adjourned the case until Feb. 20 for mention
