Sixteen-year-old Danielle Osasere Clement-Egberanmwen, recently recognised as Nigeria’s youngest chartered accountant, was celebrated at the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Prayer City during the July edition of the church’s “Power Must Change Hands” programme.
Danielle achieved the remarkable feat after successfully earning her certification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), one of the country’s most demanding professional qualifications. Her accomplishment surpasses the previous national record set in 2022 by Jonathan Adewale, who qualified at the age of 17.
The achievement has continued to attract widespread commendation across Nigeria, with education stakeholders, public officials, and social media users describing her as a symbol of academic excellence and youth potential.
Nigeria’s Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, praised Danielle’s accomplishment, describing it as evidence of the power of hard work, discipline, and resilience. He noted that her success should inspire young Nigerians to pursue excellence regardless of age or circumstance.
Danielle was also honoured by her former school, Mictech International Schools, where she received a special recognition award for her outstanding academic performance and record-breaking achievement.

During the MFM programme, members of the congregation erupted in applause as Danielle was invited to the podium to share her testimony. Introducing herself as a member of Women of Fire Region 1, We Care Ministry, she recounted her journey toward becoming a chartered accountant at an unusually young age.
According to her, she began preparing for ICAN examinations shortly after completing secondary school three years ago, following encouragement from her parents to enrol in ICAN’s Accounting Technicians Scheme (ATS) rather than waiting for university admission.
Danielle explained that the journey was particularly challenging because she did not study accounting in secondary school. Despite the difficulties encountered at the early stages of the examinations, she said determination and consistent effort helped her progress successfully.
She also disclosed that she experienced a setback after failing one of her final examination papers last year. However, she rewrote the paper earlier this year and eventually passed, completing her qualification process.
The teenager credited God, prayers, and the spiritual support she received from MFM for contributing significantly to her success.
MFM General Overseer, Dr. Daniel Olukoya, also celebrated Danielle’s achievement in a message shared on social media. He described her accomplishment as a testimony to God’s faithfulness and a reflection of diligence, discipline, resilience, and commitment to excellence.
He further stated that Danielle’s story serves as an inspiration to young people globally, proving that age is not a limitation to greatness when combined with determination and vision.
Danielle’s achievement comes barely a year after another young Nigerian, Temilola Blossom Arise, an 18-year-old student of the University of Ilorin, successfully passed the professional stage examination of ICAN.
