A first class Emir, His Royal Highness Hama Bachama Honest Irmiya Stephen has endorsed the candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Senator Abdulaziz Murtala Nyako to run for the governorship elections in Adamawa State.
Nyako who is contesting the seat for the office of the governor under the African Democratic Congress platform received the blessing while paying homage to the Emir at his palace in Numam.
The lawmaker said, the visit was to notify the Emir of his intension to run for the number one seat in the state under ADC ticket.
Given reasons that insecurity, extreme poverty and hunger, drug abuse, kidnapping and rape were among reasons he is vying for the number one seat because they are on the increase across the 21 local government areas he visited.
According to him, if nothing is done immediately to salvage the situation Adamawa State would be unsafe for the people.

He added that Mubi North and Mubi South are facing kidnapping.

According to him, “My decision to run for the number seat of our great state, came as a result of what is happening in the state, if nothing is done urgently to rescue the situation, the state is heading for the rock.”
“Insecurity, extreme poverty, hunger, drug abuse, kidnapping and rape are among the main reasons I’m vying for this position. Crime has become the order of the day across the 21 local government areas,” he added.
Senator Nyako posits that, ADC is willing to rescue the state from such delinquent emanating from the youths if elected.
Responding on his part, the first class Emir said, he is giving the Senator his blessing to succeed as he was a hand working and a committed man right from his military career and he believes he would use his experience to address all the menace in the state.
