Okoya, who has been part of the campaign train of PDP candidates, described PDP as the party to be with and support for the stability and unity of the state.

In his words: “PDP is the party to be with. PDP is the party to support. PDP has actually been in Bayelsa all this time and has done great works. We need to support our party all the way to sustain the gains made so far in the socio-economic development of the state”.

“We are all working hard to ensure that PDP stays in the state for greater things to happen. Nobody knows what tomorrow brings, but we are all hopeful that we will all be a part of the development of Bayelsa for the children of the future.”

Okoya said Hon. Douye Diri, Bayelsa Central Senatorial candidate of the PDP has legislative experience as he is already in the House of Representatives.

He said the candidate for Yenagoa/ Kolokuma, Prof. Steve Azaiki, a philanthropist and educationist, has been Secretary to the Government in the state and a commissioner.

He also said the House of Assembly candidate, Oboku Oforji has been a local government chairman and the three men are seasoned candidates.

On why he is on the campaign train with the candidates, Okoya said as a bona fide member of the party, he must show support to the various candidates across the state and add his goodwill to the advantage of his party.

“It’s just a show of solidarity. Of course, I belong to the central zone, so I’m following the central zone campaigns and other zones as well to show support, absolute support for the PDP,” he stated.
