Director-General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC), Mrs Sally Mbanefo, has encouraged Brazilian and other foreign investors to come to Nigeria, not just to invest but to also enjoy leisure.
Mbanefo while speaking during the Brazilian Trade Mission to Nigeria’s Inaugural Session/Business Forum, held at the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC), Head Office, Abuja on Monday noted Nigeria has a lot to offer in tourism and relaxation.
According to her, all the geo-political zones in Nigeria are richly endowed with fascinating tourist sites, both natural and man-made, and cultural festivals which are worth visiting and participating in.
Discussing the tourist sites, Mrs Mbanefo said: “South West, for instance, has Osun Oshogbo festival, Oyo Festival, Sango Festival in Oyo town; beach tourism and boat Regatta in Lagos; slave route in Badagry, and Osun Osogbo groove in Osun State.

“Also in the South East zone we have, Nmawu Cultural festival, Ugbo Uku New Yam Festival, Azumini Blue River, Arochukwu Long Juju, Ogbunike Cave and Oguta Lake, and in the South South are Obudu Cattle Ranch, Tinanpa Business Resorts Ibeno Beach and Cross River National Park, among others, with Sukur World Heritage site in Adamawa State, Dubars in Kano State and Mambila in Plateau State, just to mention a few.”
Mbanefo described Nigeria as the best country for any serious investors, saying the country has a large and friendly population, good weather and climate for all kinds of business, unique and diverse cultures which are good incentives for investors; she encouraged expatriates to invest in Nigeria for huge return on investment.
“I can assure you that Nigeria is richly endowed, we have many attractions, festivals and every other thing that can propel the survival of any investment in this country,” Mbanefo said.
