Organisers of the Cycling Lagos 2018 Championship have flagged off the event scheduled to hold on August 25 with the online registration of intending participants.

The children’s edition of the event will hold at the Teslim Balogun Stadium on August 18.

The online registration, which is on https://www.cyclinglagos.com/register/ platform, will hold between July 20 and August 10, 2018.

It is opened to five categories of participants, including professionals, celebrity, children, clubs/veterans and amateurs, while corporate organisations and celebrities are expected to contact the organizers via email, [email protected] or call 09099575027 to register for the Corporate Race and Celebrity Race respectively.

Chairman, Cycling Lagos, Mr. Soji Adeleye urged interested participants to complete their registration as soon as possible as limited slots are available for the races.

He advised interested participants to also take advantage of the alternative registration form on the website, which could be downloaded to ease their registration for the event.

The competition, which will involve over 1,000 cyclists from within and outside Nigeria, has been described by the organisers as one of the biggest sports, tourism and entertainment events in Africa in recent time.
