EFCC Official Rejects N100m From Chinese Nationals To Derail Investigation

Hours after report of two Chinese nationals who were arrested for bribing an official of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission went viral, a picture of the EFCC operative who rejected a bribe of N100m from the Chinese nationals to derail an investigation has gone viral after it was uploaded on internet.

It was also reported that the incident occured on Tuesday, May 12 as the two Chinese nationals attempted to offer the bribe to the commission’s Sokoto zonal head of operations, Lawal Abdullahi and his team.

According to report, the arrested suspects identified as Meng Wei Kun and Xu Kuoi are said to be officials of construction company Zhounghao Nigeria Limited.

The company is being investigated by the anti-graft agency for alleged conspiracy, abuse of office, misappropriation, diversion of public funds as well as money laundering.
