Imo Grasshoppers, Defenders Babes and D Defenders secured vital wins yesterday at the on-going Prudent Energy Handball League holding at the Mobolaji Johnson Sports Complex, Rowe Park in Lagos.
 
Grasshoppers took a sweet revenge on their opponents, Seasiders, who defeated them in the first phase of the League, with a 30 to 24 victory to boost their chances of a medal in the women’s category of the league.
 
Star of the African Games in Congo Brazzaville, Emeribe Melody got a marching order for impeding a scoring opportunity by the Seasiders. But the setback did not affect the Owerri girls’ concentration as they rallied to beat their rivals in a tough contestIn today’s fixtures, Kada Queens will take on Seasiders Babes, Imo Grasshoppers will test their strength against Owena Queens, while COAS Shooters will battle Prison Key Boys.

Plateau Vipers will meet Niger United, Edo Dynamos will battle with Plateau Peacocks, while Kada Stars will lock horns with Sokoto Rima. In other games, Desert Queens will take on Abia Valiants, Defender Babes will clash with Safety Babes, Owena Queens will take on Kano Pillars, while Defender Babes have a date with Lagos Seasiders.
