Hoodlums have attacked the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office at Oriade Local Council of Osun State. They destroyed documents and power facilities in the process.

The attackers were said to have stormed the area around 3:00a.m. yesterday.

Some of the burnt items included ballot papers and boxes as well as two power-generating sets.

Meanwhile, the electoral umpire has declared the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Oluwole Oke, as winner of the Oriade/Obokun federal constituency.

The returning officer, Prof. Rasaki Adebayo, of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife while declaring the results, said Oke won the contest with over 25,000 votes against the 19,000 figures garnered by his All Progressives Congress (APC) rival.
