Hon Dennis Idahosa, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ovia Federal Constituency, have been declared the winner of the election into the House of Representatives seat for the constituency.
Idahosa, a former Commissioner in Edo, pulled a total of 28,509 to defeat the incumbent Ms Omosede Igbinedion, a daughter Chief Gabriel Igbinedion and younger sister to the former Governor of the state, Chief Lucky Igbinedion, who scored 23, 345 votes.

He said having pulled the highest number of votes cast and certified all electoral conditions, Idahosa is returned elected as the winner of the Ovia Federal Constituency seat elections conducted on Saturday.
While the incumbent APC Lawmaker in Akoko Federal Constituency , Hon Peter Akpatson trounced PDP Oladele Bankole Balogun.
Akpatason scored 27, 097 votes against 16 ,053 of Bankole Balogun.
