The Nigeria Technology Awards is an annual event organized by Technology Avenue, a leading Media, Events & Entertainment Company to celebrate and promote the excellent achievements to which Nigerian technology professionals and organizations contribute towards building a sustainable economy using technology.

Among other things, the awards event is aimed at encouraging local practitioners to develop innovative and creative technology solutions, which will uplift the image of Nigeria both locally and internationally.

While receiving the award, the Head of PR & Marketing for Jumia Travel Nigeria, Olukayode Kolawole, who represented the company’s managing director, Kushal Dutta, said the award was another feather added to the company’s cap, and a true reflection of its claim of being the number one hotel booking portal in Nigeria and Africa.

“This award has in a way proved our claim of being the leader in the online hotel booking industry. We’re indeed honored and we thank each and every one of you that voted for us; we will not disappoint you in providing the best service experience and the best hotel room prices, and connecting you with your choice hotels anywhere in Nigeria & Africa.”

It will be recalled that recently, Jumia Travel organized a capacity building workshop for the hospitality industry where it provided hands-on training for hotel managers in Lagos on best practice customer service approach, and innovative ways to create more hotel room options for customers to choose from.
