FORMER Secretary General of the Nigeria Football Association, NFA, Sani Ahmed Toro has laughed off Dr Orji Uzoh Kalu’s dream of replacing Sepp Blatter as FIFA’s next president.
Toro said that Nigerians in high positions should be careful not to mislead Kalu and make Nigeria a laughing stock in the world. ‘’With due respect to Kalu, his …credentials with Enyimba is not enough to catapult him to FIFA. He did well with the club but he should be told about the rules and guidelines. Nobody wakes up to join the queue to become FIFA President overnight’’, Toro said.
He faulted Dr Adamu for not telling Kalu the truth on FIFA. ‘’ I don’t think Dr Adamu that I know can make that statement credited to him by a section of the media. If he actually made that statement, then I am disappointed. ‘’The former Bauchi State Sports Commissioner and former House of Representatives member said that Kalu does not have the platform to contest for that exalted position. ‘’People should not deceive Kalu’’, Toro emphasized
