The Kano State government has denied allegation linking the revocation of contracts for four major ongoing road projects in the state, worth over N5b to the alleged bribery video involving Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.

Some of the affected road projects are phase two dualisation of Kofar Dawanau-Dandinshe-Kwanar Madugu Road awarded to TIAMIN Multiservices Global in the sum of N1, 255, 606, 028.49b, and the dualisation of 5-km roads in Ungogo and Warawa Local Council being handled by FNL Engineering Ltd. They are valued at N1, 487b and N1, 204b respectively.

The state Commissioner for Information, Youth and Culture, Malam Muhammad Garba, told journalists on Friday at a press briefing that the revocation of the projects were part of the outcome of the weekly State Executive Council Meeting (SEC), adding that all the projects upon their expiration date were not concluded.

The explanation notwithstanding, the allegation continued to spread that government revoked the contract being handled by TIAMIN Multiservices due to the alleged involvement of the firm’s managing director, Aminu Mohammad, in Ganduje’s bribery video.

But the Director General, Media and Communications to Governor Ganduje, Aminu Yassar denied the allegation.
