Kim, World Bank Group President in Ghana to meet the government

The World Bank Group President, Dr. Jim Yong Kim, arrived in Ghana on Friday to hold discussions with the government, on a number of key topics.

He is also expected to launch a report on poverty in Africa, look at Ghana’s progress towards ending poverty, and commemorate the End Poverty Day.

Dr. Kim, accompanied by President John Dramani Mahama and other dignitaries, would also observe End Poverty Day in James Town, Accra, where they would jointly launch a regional flagship report, “Poverty in a Rising Africa.”

The World Bank President, would also participate in a Shared Prosperity Forum at the University of Ghana – Legon later in the day
