The TV Drama Series, Professor Johnbull will, this week seek to break cultural inhibitions as it delves into the good and bad of inter-tribal marriages.  The show is sponsored by telecoms firm, Globacom.

In the new episode entitled Saving Nigeria, Professor Johnbull, acted by Nollywood legend, Kanayo O. Kanayo, teams up with Olaniyi acted by Yomi Fash-Lanso; Flash, acted by Stephen Odimgba and the Professor’s new housemaid, Nje acted by Angela Okorie, to advocate national unity through inter-tribal marriages.

Will the episode succeed in promoting the view that where couples come from does not matter? And what part do feelings play in relationships as against character and tribal roots of the partners? Viewers are encouraged to tune in and find out on NTA Network, NTA International on DSTV Channel 251 and NTA on Startimes on Tuesday at 8:30.p.m. with a repeat broadcast on Friday also on the same channels and time.

According to Globacom, in a statement, the episode promises plenty of comic relief and satire with Ufoma’s (acted by Bimbo Akintola) uncle kicking against her falling in love with Professor Johnbull who is not from Ufoma’s Urhobo tribe.

The drama continues as Olaniyi, a Yoruba man proposes love to Nje, an Igbo lady to the chagrin of one of his customers who is also Igbo. The episode ends up suing for a deliberate national orientation to encourage marrying from different tribes as a means to cultural integration.
