The quality assurance team of kreston, (a global network of independent account firms), earlier in the week visited its Nigerian operation, KrestonOUC, with a view to ensuring accounting standards are adhered to in providing quality service.
Speaking to newsmen in Lagos, the Managing Partner in KrestonJamesCowper, U.K. Robert Holland, said the visit is to enable the team carry out quality review on behalf of the global Kreston Network.
Holland said such reviews will ensure all Kreston accounting firms in about 110 countries operated with the highest level of quality, while also ensuring consistency in the course of their work.He explained that the visit is also meant to assist its Nigerian operations, headed by the Managing Partner, KrestonOUC, Andrew Uvaise, with the latest available tools and techniques, to enable it compete at the level of standard in service delivery.

Holland said: “It is always a pleasure to visit our friends and colleagues around the world and to help ensure that all Kreston firms operate at the highest possible level.”
Similarly, a member of the team and partner, Kreston James Cowper, U.K., Alex Peal, said some recommendations were made to the Nigerian operations with a view to making them work smarter and faster.
Commenting, Uvaise said the visit has further increased confidence in its international partners, as it was also to ensure that minimum standards are applied, adding that all rules and regulations were followed in the discharge of its duties.
“Kreston International is a member of the forum of firms, these firms conduct, and have interest in conducting transactional audits, and promoting consistent application of high quality audit practice and standards worldwide,” he added.
The review, according to Uvaise, is carried out every three years globally. Apart from the Nigerian operation, Kreston also has operations in Ghana, South Africa, Cameroun, Egypt, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Senegal, Sudan, Togo, Morocco, and 15 other African countries.
