More than 250 golfers have signed up to take part in the 2018 Ikoyi Ladies Golf Championship scheduled to tee-off on June 7 and 8, at the prestigious Ikoyi Club golf course, in Lagos.
The Lady Captain of the section, Candy Agu, said the event, which is one of the major tournament in the calendar of the Ladies Sub-section has generated high number entries from players both within and outside the club.
“We are expecting high a turn-out at this event and this speaks to the vibrancy of the team that has worked hard to ensure this happens and of course the support of our corporate partners.

“The events of the Ikoyi Club Ladies Golf Sub-section usually attracts Lady golfers from all over Nigeria,” she said.This year’s event is supported by Coca Cola, Eroton Exploration and Production, First Bank Nigeria Plc, Chevron Nigeria, Kansai Plascon, Promasidor, SPAR, Sonar Tusk and Chikki Foods.
The two-day tournament will be rounded off with a closing ceremony and prize-giving dinner on the second day, which is June 8.The Publicity Secretary of the section, Ify Onukwub, added that though this is a gross event, players would also be winning prizes in the net category.
