Makinde Confirms New Case Of Coronavirus In Oyo

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State on Friday confirmed one new case of coronavirus also known as COVID-19.

Makinde who doubled as Chairman, COVID-19 Task Force in the state made this declaration via his verified Facebook page Friday morning.

He said that the new case is from Oluyole Local Government Area of the State.

Makinde said, “The COVID-19 confirmation test for one suspected case came back POSITIVE.

The total number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the state according to him is three hundred and eighteen (318).

“The case is from Oluyole Local Government Area. So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State today is 318.

“The Emergency Operations Centre will commence additional community-based testing at Ibadan Southwest and Ibadan North Local Government Areas today, Friday, June 05 2020.

“The community-based testing drive will take place in ten locations across the state.
