He, however, pleaded not guilty to the offences.

The Prosecutor, ASP. Clement Okuoimose, told the court that the accused committed the offences on Sept.14, 2017 at about 2:30 p.m. at ASCON in Topo area of Badagry, Lagos.

He said that the defendant dishonestly converted N1.7 million from sale of 30,000 litres of diesel under false pretense from Mr Idowu Sunday.

“The defendant conducted himself in a manner likely to cause breach of peace by instigating people against Sunday.

“The offences contravened Sections 312 and 166 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015,” he said.

The Magistrate, Mr Aka Bashorun, granted the accused bail of N100, 000 with one surety in like sum.

Bashorun adjourned the case until July 16 for mention. (NAN)
