According to her, she noted that she is currently working on a project themed “Girl Child Orientation & Empowerment”. It’s a mission to help the female child in the society especially first daughters and the youths develop an interest on a positive course.

According to her, the focus is on the first female child of the family who knowingly or unknowingly bears the burden of the family and other children, by sacrificing her schooling, enterprise and denied from attaining her full potential for others to thrive.

“A lot of first daughters in our society face the humiliation of sacrificing for others to blossom, and at the end of the day they are not privileged to attain their full potentials” she said.

“Hence, the Girl Child Orientation & Empowerment Programme is geared towards changing the narrative by nurturing and educating them on crucial topics as it concerns hygiene, sex education, molestation, building the spirit of entrepreneurship, striving to attain their full potentials and provide opportunity for them to believe in themselves.

She said plans are in top gear to achieve this via seminar for the girl child across the various schools to showcase that emerging a first daughter is a privilege they can harness to achieve their dreams and not a cause or punishment. The Beauty Queens also corroborated her remark stressing for PHCCIMA’s support to help achieve their objective.

In this remark, PHCCIMA’s 1st Deputy President, who received the delegation on behalf of the President, Chief Nabil Saleh, congratulated the newly crowned Miss Presigious on her emergence as the reigning Queen, adding that he is impressed with her pet project.

He described the project as noble, but advised that this seminar should be extended to the parents. According to him, the parents, should be made to understand why the narrative must change.

Though he said it is a very sensitive situation more so if the first daughter helps to provide economic support to the family. However he said nothing can be worse than to mitigate the girl child from attaining her full potential. Hence he emphasized that if something is closely worked out in the presence of both, progress will be made.

The PHCCIMA 1st Deputy President on behalf of the President, Exco and members assured the beauty queen and her delegation of PHCCIMA’s support; “We have a Tourism and Hospitality trade group of the chamber, we will link both to work out modalities in the form of providing a veritable platform for you to speak to parents during PHCCIMA events”.

He also opted to provide an opportunity during the 2019 international trade fair to enable her carry out some of her objectives for her pet project.
