The maiden edition of Ariya Eko Music Festival which held on Sunday, December 15 at the Lagos City Hall, Catholic Mission, Lagos State was indeed an event to be remembered.
The Ariya Eko Music Festival was hosted by Evergreen Musical Company, a company owned by Babafemi Esho and managed by Bimbo Esho. Evergreen Musical Company is a company given to the preservation, promotion and distribution of Vintage African Heritage and Cultural Music.
In a bid to showcase the richness of African music and culture, there was a wide selection of veteran and contemporary musicians who performed at the event. Veteran musicians like Tee Mac, Shina Peters, Obesere also performed at the event.
Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey was also inducted into the Evergreen Music Hall of Fame. Ebenezer Obey who is the first musician to be inducted into the Evergreen Hall of Fame has written 660 songs which were also launched at the event after a grand performance by the music icon.
