NCPC to MONITOR the PROGRESS of MAIDEN YOUTH PILGRIMS

NCPC TO MONITOR THE PROGRESS OF MAIDEN YOUTH PILGRIMS-Opara
Executive  Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, John Kennedy Opara has said
that the Commission would continue to monitor the progress of the youth pilgrims through their various churches. Mr Opara disclosed this in  Nazareth, Israel at a Mega Maiden Youth pilgrimage in Jerusalem. According to the NCPC boss,” God has brought you to Israel because He is preparing you for leadership, you are the change agent Nigeria will like to see”
He affirmed that about 98 percent of the maiden youth pilgrims were sponsored by the churches
and individuals. The NCPC helmsman further stated that the Commission’s Christian Pilgrimage Lottery Scheme
would enable many christians to go on Holy pilgrimage without depending on government.
He added that the Scheme would help the commission to actualise its self sustenance drive.
He admonished that there would not be limit to what the youth could do, because according to him”, no one can ever come to Him and remain the same”
He further stressed that until the youths discover the purpose of being in Israel, they would not know the impact of their participation.
He thanked the handlers of the youth pilgrims in Israel- Tabar Tours for diligently and religiously making themselves available whenever the opportunity comes..
Mr Opara equally thanked God for Borno pilgrims who were part of the  JP Ceremony in Nazareth. His words, ”if there was no youth pilgrimage, Borno will not be doing pilgrimage today”.
The NCPC bOSS  also commended the Director General of the Institute for National Transformation, Prof. Vincent Anibogwu for partnering with the commission to drive the youth acquisition skill programme.
Earlier, the Charge Of Affairs, Embassy of Nigeria,Israel,  Mrs Frankie Obinagha commended the visionary leadership of John Kennedy Opara. She stated that pilgrimage had taken a higher dimension under the present leadership of the commission.
She explained that Israel and Nigeria have close economic ties and that the two countries established relationships since 1960.
She described the youth pilgrims as”  priviledged future leaders ”.According to her”, you have learnt the need to be independent, bold, confident and spiritually sound.’.She tasked them to be changed agent of transformation.
Youths from  Salvation Ministries Port -Harcourt, Anglican Church, House On the Rock Church, Abuja and self sponsored youths made up the maiden youth pilgrimage.Another batch of youth pilgrims will arrive Israel by first week of August.
