Nigerian Doctor Tests Positive For COVID-19 In New York, Pleads For Others To Stay At Home

New York is one of the cities with the largest record of coronavirus patients in United State of America and a Nigerian doctor Damilola Odutola who is currently based based in the city has come out publicly on Wednesday 1st of April to announce to his family and friends that he has tested positive for COVID-19.

Damilola who revealed he has started his self-isolation procedure also regretted that he is being taken away from what he loves doing and he decided to get tested after experiencing serious symptoms which include fever, chills, fatigue, and mild sore throat among others.

The Doctor who also dished out advise as he recounts his situation wrote;

Today I tested positive for COVID, Last week I had quite serious symptoms that only a few know about; but I’m out of it now. Thanks to my friends and family for your prayers, messages and care. We will all overcome this, I’m praying for me and my colleagues here in NYC for protection …and for those that think it’s a joke…it really isn’t, pls stay at home and help flatten the curve.’
