While addressing newsmen after the qualification, the principal of Odogbo-Ijesa Community Grammar School, Mrs. Olukitibi commended the players for their efforts and also expressed her gratitude to the Olodogbo of Odogbo-Ijesa, Oba Olatunde Oginni for his role in the school team’s success story.

She attributed the sterling performance of the school’s team to the interest and concern showed by the royal father, adding that he took care of the pupils from the beginning of the tournament.

“We want to use this medium to appreciate our father in Odogbo-Ijesa, Kabiyesi Olatunde Oginni who took the girls as his daughters by providing all the football kits needed by the team and shouldering all our logistic needs to excel in this competition.

“We have been training hard so that we can do well in the final because that is the only way to reciprocate the good gesture of the royal father that have invested much into developing our sports infrastructure and the school’s building,” the principal said.

The final of the tournament has been scheduled for Wednesday at the football pitch of Osogbo High School, Osogbo, Osun State.
