Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, has denied any plan to impeach his deputy, Prince Uche Madumere, saying doing so at this time would not be of any political advantage to him. He described the rumours of a plan to remove Madumere from office as the work of mischief makers.
Okorocha, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Sam Onwuemeodo, also said any call to dismantle the statue of former South African president Jacob Zuma, because he is no longer president was unnecessary.
