Oyo poll: Hon. Akintola congratulates Seyi Makinde, Oyo indegenes |

A House of Representative member representing Egbeda – Onaara federal constituency, Taiwo Micheal Akintola of the African Democratic Congress has applauded the people of Oyo State for voting Engr. Seyi Makinde as the next governor of the state.

In his congratulatory message to the governor-elect, Akintola said that Makinde is the best man for the job and expressed the belief that the governor-elect would be a people’s governor who will govern with the fear of God.

He also congratulated the Peoples Democratic Party, other people-oriented political parties and stakeholders who contributed to the success, saying that modesty is about to return to the state.

”Our amiable governor-elect, Engr Seyi Makinde, you have worked so hard and deserve the maximum support you’re getting now, having paid your dues. I would like to congratulate you, your team, associates and the good people of Oyo State on this impressive victory and accomplishment.”

With the outcome of this election, the people have demonstrated their commitment to true democracy and responsible leadership.”

“I am confident that under your competent, capable and people-centred leadership, the leading role of Oyo as the pacesetter will be strengthened.”
