Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Amaju Melvin Pinnick at the weekend in Abuja urged participants at the second NPFL-LaLiga Youth Coaches’ Clinic to remain focused and steadfast in their bid to produce the next big stars for the country’s football.

Pinnick, who was represented at the event by the Chairman of the League Management Company (LMC) and NFF’s Second Vice President, Mallam Shehu Dikko, advised the NPFL clubs’ youth coaches to put into practice the knowledge they have acquired from the clinic to make the nation’s football better in the years to come.

“This partnership has already yielded great dividends with the structure that has emerged in our various clubsides, with them having proper feeders’ teams that will produce the next set of stars in the future. What is needed now is for you to implement all that has been learnt and focus on the job of producing future stars,” he added.

Dikko told the coaches that Nigerian football future depended on their diligence, adding, “a player who participated in last year’s event of the NPFL U-15 Promises tournament, Nura Mohammed, was picked to represent the country at the just concluded CHAN tournament despite not playing as at that time for El- Kanemi Warriors’ main squad in the league. That to me, is progress.”
