Dr. Haruna Dabin, the governorship candidate of the Providence People’s Congress (PPC), in Plateau, has promised to end any form of nepotism, sectionalism and tribalism, if elected.
Dabin, former Chairman of the PDP in the North-Central State, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), on Tuesday in Jos, that he would run an all-inclusive government with everyone treated as a stakeholder.
He explained that his government would do away with any form of biases and ensure that no group was favoured over another.
“Ours will be `community governance’ where communities will participate and engage in decision-making process on all matters that affect them,” he said.
Dabin said that he would return Plateau to its past glory and make the state a home of peace and tourism.
According to him, his administration will focus on the party’s philosophy of running a holistic government where governance will prioritise critical sectors like education and agriculture.

He regretted that the education sector had been neglected over the years, saying that the consequences of that neglect were massive.
He said that the education sector would be reformed and teachers trained to ensure that every pupil, especially those in primary six, could read and write.
The candidate said that vocational schools would also be given attention to produce skilled manpower to serve the state.
He also pledged to initiate measures that would improve the agricultural sector and support communities that focus on perishable crops.
Dabin promised to source for grants from donors and use same to assist farmers so as to expand their value chain.
He also promised to support physically challenged persons seeking to engage in businesses, while ensuring that Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), are relocated to their ancestral homes.
On security, Dabin promised to engage all stakeholders toward building a peaceful and prosperous Plateau that would be a safe home for all.
