Northern City News gathered on Tuesday that further investigation also led to the arrest of two accomplices, Ado Alhassan, 32, and Magagi Ibrahim, 21, both from Kano State.

Checks revealed that the suspects had been operating in Kaduna and Kano for the past two years.

Abdullahi told our correspondent, “My gang operates in Kaduna and Kano and we have been making lot money which we cannot account for. We lodged in big hotels in town and enjoy ourselves,” he narrated.

Asked if he was ready for the consequences of his action, Abdullahi said, “I don’t care what will happen, I have already committed the crime, so let it be. All I know I am not the only thief in Nigeria, politicians are the worst criminals in the country, but nobody is arresting them, it is unfortunate.”
The Police Public Relations Officer, Muhammad Abubakar, disclosed that two tricycles were recovered from the suspects, adding that the matter would be charged to court soon.
