A Hollywood actor, Hagen Mills has died after allegedly shooting the mother of his child and then turned the gun on himself in an attempted murder-suicide, police said.
According to NY Daily, the sad incident happened in Kentucky on Tuesday.
It was gathered that Mills, 29, had been lying in wait for victim Erica Price, 34, and opened fire when she returned to the residence where Mills had been holding their young daughter and Price’s mother hostage, the Mayfield Police Department said.
Officers responded to the scene shortly after 5:45 p.m. and found Price outside the residence, suffering from gunshot wounds to her arm and chest, the department said in a statement.
Price was able to identify Mills as her assailant and said he had turned the gun on himself inside, police confirmed.
Mills was pronounced dead at the scene. Price was transported to a hospital and was “stable” Wednesday, police said.
Price’s mother and daughter were not injured during the incident.
Mills appeared in TV shows including “Baskets” and “Swedish Dicks” and had a larger role in the 2020 horror flick “Star Light” from the executive producer behind 2003’s “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” remake.
Online records show he had a history of felony arrests.
After an incident on March 30, he was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence, rape, sodomy, adult kidnapping and child endangerment.
He was slapped with more offenses in April for felony possession of methamphetamine and trafficking anabolic steroids.
