Former President Jerry John Rawlings has called on Ghanaians to try as much as possible to approach the 2016 elections with a lot of seriousness.
According to him it will help safeguard the integrity of the country’s upcoming elections.
“I truly and sincerely hope that we will approach the elections with a lot of seriousness in order to get the peaceful election we are all yearning for” he said on Accra based radio station Friday.

The EC has, however, said it will not change the register but will rather clean it to ensure credibility.
Mr. Rawlings however urged the security personnel to as a matter of urgency bring their experience to bare to ensure that we have clean elections.
