The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says it has acquired requests for the interim forfeiture of certain properties traced to the past governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha, and his better half, Nkechi which its suspects to be proceeds from fraudulent acts.
Usman Imam, the Head of the Enugu Zonal Office of the commission, made this known while briefing newsmen in Enugu state yesterday Wednesday, September fourth.

Mr. Imam said the commission has gotten comparative request on the property traced to a former aide to the former governor, Paschal Obi, and the former governor’s daughter.
As indicated by Imam, some of the properties to be forfeited include a 16-block cum 96 flats and an eight-bungalow multimillion naira estate, hotel, two schools, shopping plaza, supermarket, hospital, and four vehicles.
“We hope to get permanent forfeiture orders on the property in order to return them to the people of the state,” he said
