The candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, in Abeokuta South Constituency 1, Omorinola Oyebimpe Oyebola popularly known as TRIPLE O meet the electorates in her grassroots wards in a Door to Door campaign
The door to door campaign started on January 14th, 2019 and has taken her to Ward 1 and Ward 2 of her constituency. The Door to Door enable her to interact with the people in the grass root while She moved from house to house, shop to shop, mosque to mosque, church to church, market to market, artisans workshop and everyone in each ward. She interacted with the old, young, child and elderly seeking their blessings while soliciting for their votes as well.


It was an opportunity for the electorates to ask questions, know her manifestos and what plans she has for them.

A new comer to politics with a lot of pedigree and experience, Omorinola was able to feel the pulse of her electorates. She disclosed that, “the door to door campaign was an eye opener to me. I was warmly welcomed and a lot bare their minds on the issues affecting our constituency. To my surprise, irrespective of the parties they belong to, I was welcomed and given assurances of not just their support but their blessings for the post.”
Speaking with Infotrust, Alhaja Abeni said, “I am impressed with her humility and her comportment. She definitely know what she sets out to do. I have the mind of voting for another party but with my interaction with her, I am convinced that she has my votes. I will also help with her campaign.”
Another electorate, Obadimu Julius, an artisan did not mince words when he stated that, “when i saw her poster, i thought she was one of those ajebota who is proud and just want to go to Assembly to eat our national cake. When she met us at our shop, I didn’t even know she was the one. She was humble, she proved all of us wrong and we determined that we would vote for her, we would also canvass votes for her. Where are the others contesting? They are too proud to associate with us. Triple O is our choice”.
She also donated 250 branded note books to the children departments of the Cathedral Church of St Peter’s Anglican Church, Ake, Abeokuta on Sunday, 13th of January 2019.
