An Australian woman got the shock of her life when she found the world’s second deadliest snake curled up inside her bathroom drawer.
The woman, from Queensland, contacted the Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers on Sunday, believing the animal was a harmless tree snake.
She was advised to keep the bathroom door closed and to wedge a towel underneath to block any potential escape route.

‘We thought from her description it might be a tree snake,’ snake catcher Stuart McKenzie told Daily Mail Australia.
‘Often snakes in houses are tree snakes because they can squeeze in through small spaces.’
He said when he sent one of his snake catchers, Donnie, to the house, both were shocked.
It wasn’t a common tree snake he came face-to-face with but instead a deadly Eastern Brown.
‘They both definitely got a surprise when Donnie opened the drawer, it was a shock I am sure,’ Mr McKenzie said.
‘He said it was pretty cranky which is normal, it was stuck in the drawer and felt cornered.’
Mr McKenzie said the woman was relieved when the snake was taken away, but her fear started to show when she realised the encounter could have easily turned deadly.
