As we speak, a man of honour has been installed as Ọ̀túnba and the First Oloritun of Moṣáalá- Bọ́lá Quarter, Ìrẹ̀wọn Ìjẹ̀bú. He is my wonderful friend Adémúyîwá Ọ̀nábánjọ a man with the footprints of goodness marked out like giant dinosaurs of old. He is a pride to everyone that knows him and a star to behold in the service of any community. Adémúyîwá Ọ̀nábánjọ is the Àjànàkú with the footprints of achievements that is blessed.
Múyîwá Ọ̀nábánjọ is a man whose life is full of glee that is overwhelming like the emotions of a beautiful sákárà sang to time. If I sing his ode in the desert rain would fall, if I echo his virtues in the arctic the weather would change. Múyîwá is the man that comes to your presence and you don’t know where to stop when you count his virtues. This man was molded by Ọbàtálá to excel and the breath of life that God oozed into him was for excellence and fulfilment. I met this graceful gem about forty years ago in the Palmwine Drinkerds Klub. He was the Chief of the College of Education, Ìjebú Òde Chapter. He later read Philosophy at the Ògùn State University (now Ọlábísí Onábánjọ University) where he was the President of the Students Union. He led the Students’ Union with a glory that bore the freshness of the morning dew and he shone like the sun in an environment that he made beautiful like the bed of roses. He graduated in flying colours.
Múyîwá regales in integrity. He radiates prestige and basks in rectitude. He speaks words of wisdom from a mouth that regurgitates discernment from a spirit that belongs to sages; his brain is loaded with knowledge and emits logic like he belongs to the Egyptian Mystery System; his medulla vibrates with sayings that belong to the plethora of those who sat with the Rabbi when He delivered the Sermon on the Mount. Múyîwá displays skills that are thorough and exhibits talents that are rare. He troubleshoot problems as if he was born to nail them on board; He is a blessed one that God has created to make a difference to his environment; no wonder the people of Moṣáalá quarters found him worthy to be their first Ọ̀túnba of Ìrẹ̀wọn and I bless them for their choice for they found the best peg to fit their hole of leadership. Múyîwá was created to make a difference.
I salute Múyîwá on his installation today as Ọ̀túnba and the First Oloritun of Moṣáalá- Bọ́lá Quarter, Ìrẹ̀wọn Ìjẹ̀bú. Here you have manna in the cult of friendship. He is a man with the voice of sincerity and the juggernaut that booms like Thunder in the home of goodness. He travels like lightening in the house of sacrifice. Múyîwá is an encyclopedia of truth to call when there is need for advice; a caterpillar of support to friends in need and an Armageddon to whoever dares his loved one. The son of Ọ̀nábánjọ is the man whose barn is filled with charity; I doff my cap for the man whose name work miracles like the river of Jordan on Namaan. Ademúyîwá sells only joy wherever he is. He is the man God has blessed to be the balm of Gilead in his community. I bless God for this man who never once resisted his calling to make a change among His people.
Congratulations my friend Ọ̀túnba Ademúyîwá Ọ̀nábánjọ. May your Chieftaincy and time be known for peace, love and prosperity.
