Uganda PM, Rugunda in Dubai to woo investors

Rugunda who is representing President Museveni at the forum, is accompanied by a Ugandan delegation which includes the Minister of State in charge of Technology in the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Sports Prof. Tokboa, the Minister of State in charge of investment in the Ministry of Finance Aston Kajara, the President of the Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Olive Kigongo and respective Government technocrats.

The two-day event is being held at Atlantis, The Palm Dubai.

Now in its third year, the African Global Business Forum is organized by Dubai Chamber of Commerce under the patronage of H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and ruler of Dubai.

This year’s African Global Business Forum is focusing on the new drivers of growth and the new partners who will help create it.

The Prime Minister is expected to address a session, ‘Rethinking Education- Developing Africa’s 21st Century workforce.

The session will discuss the importance of education for Africa’s future growth and the role of education in providing innovative solutions.

Rugunda will also hold meetings on the sideline of conference to woo potential investors to Uganda.

Other speakers at the Forum will include heads of State, high ranking Government officials, alongside other prominent leaders in business and investment from Africa and the Gulf.
