15-Year-Old Secondary School Student Arrested For Raping Schoolmate In Delta

Men of the Delta State Police Command have arrested a 15-year-old student of Osadenis Mix Secondary School in Asaba for allegedly raping his 14-year-old fellow student

According to eye witness the rape victim was waylaid by the suspect and two other students after she went to urinate at the back of the school on Monday, November 4.

It was gathered that the cries of the rape victim attracted students and teachers of the school to the scene of the awful incident.

While reacting to the development, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state (PPRO) identified as Onome Onovwakpoyeya confirmed the rape incident and disclosed that policemen from ‘B’ Division in Asaba were only able to arrest only one of the suspects as the other two escaped.

According to reports, the parents of the rape victim are having a cold feet in pushing for prosecution of the suspect as they are reportedly looking for an out-of-court settlement.
