Although it is unclear what led to her decision to commit suicide, her parents believe her action might have been triggered by the decision by authorities of her new school to keep her in SHS 1 instead of SHS 2.

The deceased was supposed to move to SHS 2 with her classmates but asked her parents to change her school due to bullying.

An eyewitness, Benet Appoh in an interview with Adom News said the girl was found hanged on a mango tree behind their house.

He added that the tragic circumstances and unfortunate demise of the young girl have spurred many to blame authorities of her new school for her death.

He said the body of the deceased has been deposited at the Atua government hospital morgue in Somanya.
