Police Service Commission on Thursday rewarded 45 officers who ensured the arrest of notorious kidnap kingpin Evans with special promotions.
The promotions come a year after Evans was arrested in Lagos alongside over 20 suspected members of his gang.
Properties worth millions of naira were said to have been recovered from the suspects.

Chairman of the commission and former Inspector General of Police Mike Okiro presided over the ratification of the promotions at a plenary.
According to spokesman for the commission Ikechukwu Ani, 13 of the officers were promoted in acting capacity because they weren’t eligible for substantive promotion.
The suspects are being prosecuted at different courts in Lagos.
