Lagos went agog, and stood still as all roads led to the Palms Shopping Mall Lekki for the mega concert of Cloud 9 and the official launch of the online music platform. Different people from all walks of life gathered to see the international act and other Nigerian artistes that thrilled the crowd with spectacular musical performance.
The thrills of the day started with the energetic Cool FM OAP Dotun who wowed the audience with different blend of music. Dotun’s prowess in getting along with the audience came to fore as his energy and dexterity brought life into the event.
Artistes that performed at the event: Olu Maintain, Efa, Reminisce, Ycee, May D, Seyi Shey, Victoria Kimani, Jesse Jagz, Sean Tizzle, R2bees, Gabby Brown, and many more.

The stage build up
The event was staged at the car park of the Palms Shopping Mall with powerful lightening and massive screen for people who can’t view the stage properly, the stage organogram has a 9 written on it to signify that it is Cloud 9 concert. The lightening and other spectacle was impressive and massive.
The setting has a VIP session where important personality sat very close to the stage.
DJ Spinal and DJ Case
The two spectacular Djs of the night was Dj Spinal and Dj Case as they continue to drop hot songs. Dj Spinal performed the tracks of his album. Dj Case and Spinal were magical as they set the crowd yelling and dancing non-stop, it was truly series of magic on the turntable.
YBNL’S Crew performance without Olamide

One of the crew that was expected to wow the night was YBNL performance.
The artiste got to the venue separately with Lil kesh driving in before Viktor and Adekunle Gold but Olamide was neither in the convoy nor at the venue.
The reason for his none appearance was due to his father demise few days to the performance and he was said to be busy attending to personal issues. A minute silence was observed for the deceased- Olamide’s father.
Adekunle Gold was the first to perform his hit tracks -‘Sade’ and ‘Orente’ before the appearance of Viktor who took the audience to the next level with his performance. Back to back, Lil kesh took the audience to cloud 9 with series of performance.
On Casper’s electrifying performance
South African rapper Casper Nyovest was one of the invited guest artiste from Africa to headline the event. The award winning rapper was on stage to dazzle the crowd. When he performed his hit track like ‘Phumakin’, ‘Ghetto’, and ‘Doc Shebeleza’, the crowd screamed at the top of their voice.
His performance was spectacular, he lived up to the bill as one of the best rapper to come out of Africa.
O.T Genesis set the crowd on fire
American rapper OT genesis took center stage as he looked to set the stage on fire and wow the Nigerian audience. He got on stage, got massive love in return from the cheering crowd. He performed his songs but the crowd
caught the vibes more when he performed his hit song “Coco” He was simply on point as audience did a karaoke to the song with him. He called a fan on stage and they both performed his hit song together.
ICE PRINCE raised the bar with his grand closing performance
Ice prince was the artiste that closed the show with his swag and stage prowess. He never failed to wow his crowd as he mounted the stage with his friends to bring the show to an end.
Indeed, he is a good MC as he related with the crowd, which makes his performance memorable. He called contestants of the Cloud 9 Rap battle challenge on stage for the final lap of the competition and a winner finally emerged, won a whooping sum of 500,000 Naira.
