Remy Martin is a brand that has been supporting entertainment in Nigeria. One of its core value is uniting youths towards a fulfilled goal. This motive was brought to fore as they took to unite 3 nightclubs and lounges on the Island in a ‘roof to party’ while also rewarding their customers at an exclusive night out at Ocean View, Victoria Island on the 3rd of December. SOFOWORA OLADAPO was there to bring you special moments at this well packaged event. Quliox Nightclub, Roadrunners and Grasshoppers club teamed up in one room, truly it was an experience with Remy Martin.If you are not there as an entertainment person, you are simply not yet in the happening circle.
THE BLACK CARPET
At a glance of the event centre, what strikes you is the beauty and colourful arrangement. The passage to the black carpet was on point, kudos to the planner. The red and blue lightening gave the black carpet a captivating look as media men and paparazzi were all over, covering every moment as different visitors from all works of life stroll into the venue.
INSIDE THE EVENT CENTRE
The event centre was indeed a glamorous one ranging from the design and spectacles. The lightening accompanied by the proscenium stage setup for every performance was cool. The sound and the hall had good ventilation
as everywhere was chilled. There are different demarcations according to each club. It was demarcated into three sections as Quliox was at the left side of the hall, while the centre has the performance stage and the right
hand side was shared by Roadrunners and Grasshopper club respectively.
LINEUP OF DJ’S ON THE WHEEL OF STEEL
Female Disc Jockey, DJ Lambo raised the bar as she turned up with songs that blew the minds of the audience, they had no choice than to stand and dance to the music being dished out by the finest female DJ in Nigeria. DJ
Neptune showed class, he is in a league of his own as he took his audience back to the oldies. The audience stood up to dance and sing along as DJ Neptune brought back memories with deft touches and that magic on the deck. He nailed it by taking his audience back memory lane on the evolution of hip hop in Nigeria. Later, he was joined by Legendary DJ Jimmy Jatt who applauded his fellow friend. DJ Jimmy was supposed to perform but for time, the audience could not experience the master DJ who ruled the Nigeria airwaves for so long.
PERFORMANCE BY QUE PELLAR AND BASE 1
Fast rising acts Que Peller and rapper Base 1 showed they are gradually coming of age when it comes to music. They held the audience spellbound with their brilliant performance on stage.

Rapper and son of legal luminary Femi Falana, Falz the Bahd guy,is an undisputed humor merchant. The Karashika crooner was called to usher on stage winners of 2 millioin Naira cash prize and a return ticket to Dubai won buy ‘The Cue’. He spoke in his funny intonation and the crowd laughed simultaneously.
YEMI ALADE THE ‘KING OF QUEENS’.
One of Nigeria’s hottest female diva is Yemi Alade, and she caught the fancy of many as she did justice to her performance. She lived up to expectation as she performed her hit song back to back. Little technical issues would have marred her performance but as an artiste she showed her dexterity, unperturbed, she gave the audience a sterling performance.
Her dancers also spice up her performance as they were delight to watch on stage during the performance.
DAVIDO AND WIZKID COLLABORATION ON STAGE
After series of controversy rocking the Music scene on who is bigger in terms of fans base, which led to several tweet wars between Nigeria’s youngsters and talented youths, Davido and Wizkid surprised their audience as they both performed each other’s song.
Davido’s hype man, special edge introduced Davido on stage. As he mounted the stage with his hit song ‘Dami Duro’, he told DJ Neptune to stop the song, he brought Wizkid up on stage and they both performed their hit songs collectively.
It was like a dream! Their fans went wild with jubilation and dance away frenziedly. Davido requested for Wizkid’s songs, Wizkid did same too for O.B.O.
They showed their lavish lifestyle as they threw money into the crowd. That was the peak of the event. Their fans though glad, were stunned at the re-union by this duo. I guess from what was displayed on stage, there could possibly be a collaboration from them in the New Year.

TEKNO CLOSED THE SHOW WITH ‘DURO’
Triple MG wonder kid and producer Tekno, indeed, had spice to the event as he performed his hit track ‘Duro’ for his fans. He officially closed the event.
