A middle aged man has stabbed his lover to death for using another man’s image as her profile picture on social media platform, Whatsapp.
The incident happened Tuesday night at Bonsuano near Dormaa in the Brong Ahafo Region.
According to reports, the deceased, Yaa Mansah has been bothering her boyfriend, Kweku Anning to get her new mobile phone.
Kweku Anning who wanted to surprise her girlfriend chose the festive season to get her a new phone of her choice.
But Kweku Anning started getting jealous when the lady started using her phone to chat other men as well as using images of other men as profile picture.
The issue which did not settle down well with her ‘jealous boyfriend’ confronted her which she denied.
Reports say, the man went ahead to confront the lady to get her to speak the truth which she denied again but later turned out to be bloody when the man strangled the lady and subsequently stabbing her till she fell dead.
Kweku Anning is said to be at large after the heinous crime as the police begins investigations into the matter.
The body of the deceased has also been conveyed to the Dormaa Government hospital morgue in Tekyiman.
