One Blessing Omoru, residing in Agric Settlement, Esa-Oke, Osun State, that was abducted alongside her husband, London, has regained freedom.

Blessing, it was learnt, escaped from their abductors in the early hours of Friday and was seen in Ijebu Jesa, after a search party combing the bushes gave the perpetrators a hot chase.

In an interview with Saturday PUNCH, the Director General, Kiriji Heritage Defenders, Dr Ademola Ekundayo, said Blessing was found after all night search by a team comprising hunters, men of Kiriji Heritage Defenders and Oodua Peoples’ Congress.

He said, “The woman escaped and was this morning rescued in Ijebu Jesa. The husband is still with the kidnappers, but the search for the husband is still on.”
Yemisi Opalola, the spokesperson for Osun Police Command, could not be reached for comment, as calls to her line did not go through.
