Abiodun Asks Assembly To Confirm Ogungbade As Justice Commissioner

THE Ogun State House of Assembly on Tuesday, announced that it had received a request by the state governor, Dapo Abiodun, for the screening and confirmation of Mr. Oluwasina Ogungbade, as Commissioner for Justice.

Sequel to this, the lawmakers invited the nominee to appeal before the house on Wednesday, 23rd November at 12 noon, for screening.

Speaker of the Assembly, Olakunle Oluomo, read the governor’s letter which was dated November 19, 2021 during plenary, in the chamber of the State Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

The letter read, in part, “Mr. Speaker will recall that the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Gbolahan Adeniran recently resigned his appointment. The need to immediately replace him is imperative for the achievement of our collective Mission to Build our dear State together.

“Further to the above, I hereby present for confirmation by the House of Assembly, Mr. Oluwasina Olanrewaju Ogunghade as nominee for appointment as Honourable Commissioner.”
