Abolaji preaches gains in inter-house, other schools’ competitions

The CEO of Icreave Enterprises, Akinyemi Abolaji has advised governments at all levels to support inter-house sports and other schools’ competitions, which he posits is an avenue to groom young ones and bring out the seed of greatness in them.

Speaking during the maiden Power and Glory International School Interhouse sports competition in Ejigbo, Lagos, Abolaji, who was the chairman of the event, said children have inbuilt abilities, which if groomed, will take them to its great heights.

Earlier the director of the school, Ezekiel Onilude described sports as a universal language that brings all people together, stressing that the decided to hold its maiden interhouse sports to foster the habit of synergy among the students.

In her address, the chairperson of the inter-house sports committee, Jumoke Akintande said the school decided to hold the competition to harness the talents of the children and also solve some career challenges in them.

The competition divided into primary, junior, senior categories, boys and girls, saw the children competing in 100m, 200m, 400m, 4x100m relay and 800m race.

At the end of the competition, Yellow House, Green House, and Blue House came first, second and third respectively.

Gathered in their numbers were parents, guardian, teachers and invited schools, including representatives from Mushin and Ejigbo local councils.
