Abuja winners pick prizes in Glo everyday bonanza

Winners in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, carted away prizes worth several millions of Naira as Globacom continue its loyalty scheme, Everyday Bonanza, to reward its teeming subscribers across the country.

Over 100 subscribers thronged the Aminu Kano Crescent, Wuse 2, Abuja, office of the company to receive their prizes, which included fridges, LED television sets, microwave ovens and power generating sets.

Dignitaries from the Federal Capital Territory including the Chairman, Senate Committee on Health, Senator Lanre Tejuosho; Senior Special Assistant to the President on Diaspora, Abike Dabiri; Corps Marshall, Federal Road Safety Commission, Dr. Oyeyemi Boboye; Representative of Nigerian Communication Commission, Mr Fred Adogo, and representative of the Director General of National Lottery Regulatory Commission, Mr. Yagba Tsav, graced the event.

Globacom’s representative, Mr. Michael Toluhi, in his welcome address explained that Everyday Bonanza was conceptualised to appreciate its loyal subscribers by availing them opportunities to win tens of thousands of mouth-watering prizes. He urged current and prospective subscribers to take advantage of the opportunity provided by the scheme to win quality prizes.

Mr. Tsav revealed that NLRC permitted Glo to run the reward scheme, saying that Globacom had not disappointed the commission in the execution of the scheme, while Hon. Abike Dabiri recalled that Globacom had always been known for empowering Nigerians. She encouraged the company to continue the good gesture and congratulated winners of the bonanza.

Similarly, Corps Marshall, Federal Road Safety Commission, Mr. Boboye Oyeyemi, said he is proud of Globacom for its excellent way of rewarding and empowering its customers. “Globacom remains Nigerian pride. I congratulate the truly Nigerian company for giving back to the society at all times,” he added.

One of the winners, Miss Arziki Safiya, an Abuja-based applicant who won a 32’’ LED television was ecstatic as she danced with Glo Ambassador, Sani Danja, who heartily joined her in the celebration.

Also, winner of a new generator, Mr. Anthony Edekobi Chukwuemeka, an engineer from Anambra State, who resides in Wuse, Abuja, commended Globacom for the prize. He said: “I don’t need to buy a new generator again as planned; Glo has provided me one and I will make good use of it in my house, especially now that electric power supply is not too stable.”

The lucky trio of Omale Dauda, Shuaibu Momoh and Amadi George who got a microwave oven each also expressed appreciation to the brand.
While Omale promised to continue to participate in the bonanza because of his belief that he could win other prizes, Momoh and George disclosed that they were surprised when they received calls from Glo informing them of the winnings.

Another winner, Wada Bashir who won a refrigerator said he was very happy for the prize. “This means a lot to me and I thank Glo for the prize. I promise to remain a loyal subscriber of our Nigerian network taking care of us,” he enthused.

Similar prize presentations are scheduled for other cities including, Benin City, Enugu, Port Harcourt, Ikeja, Suleja, Warri, Onitsha, Ibadan, Ikorodu, Kano, Lokoja. Others are Asaba, Kaduna, Ilorin, Aba, Owerri, Calabar, and Ota before the end of the year.
