A heartbreaking photo of a 5-month-old baby who was reportedly seized by his teenage mother’s boss has stirred mixed reactions on the internet.
Human rights activist, Harrison Gwamnishu who uploaded the image via his official Instagram page revealed that the 19-year-old mother called Gift couldn’t afford to settle her hospital bills which her boss took care of. This prompted her Madam to seize her baby from her.
Gift was able to get hold of her son again after the intervention of Lagos State Social Welfare and the Police.
According to Harrison, “the mother said they returned her child (half dead).”
He added that the 5 months old baby has been admitted at Mother and Child Abraham Adesanya, Ajah. Lagos State.
