Adamawa Govt Refutes Receiving N2.5 billion To Woo Votes For Buhari

Governor of Adamawa State, Muhammadu Bindow, has said that there is no iota of truth that, N2.5 billion was allegedly allocated to a top government functionary to woo voters for President Muhammadu Buhari against the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in Saturday’s presidential election in Adamawa State.

Bindow said the remark is condemnable and targeted at smearing government  officials and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), administration in the state.

He also denied that the state chapter of APC is in disarray, saying the party is optimistic of wining the forthcoming gubernatorial election.

Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Mallam Ahmad Sajoh, explained that government is not aware of the said amount in question.

Sajoh said the crisis in the party might have been caused by those who regard Governor Bindow as an enemy based on his transformation of the state.
